I'm a PhD candidate in geography at UC Berkeley with a background in architecture and urbanism, oftentimes writing for the media on these topics. Current interests include ideologies of urban land use, spatial practices, design and visual culture, experimental landscape study, social movements, mappings, social theory, digital culture, and ephemera. My dissertation research is on California cities and their post-military landscapes that become urban parks.
